Betty Dodson, creator of Bodysex was a maven, a leader in the world of sex-positivity and independent orgasms for women.

Born in the 1920s in Wichita Kansas, USA, Betty moved to New York as an aspiring artist… but as often happens in life, one thing we aspire to can turn out to be something completely different.

And so it was for Betty. She became a sex positive maven, leader and inspiration for a generation of women living through the sexual revolution.

Things changed with the arrival of AIDS in the USA and so Betty adapted. Along the way she discovered a series of rituals and experiences, solo and with groups of friends and then clients as she developed the philosophy and rituals of Bodysex.
